Santa Paula’s best days are ahead of us, but only if we listen carefully, plan thoughtfully, and move forward together.
Santa Paula’s best days are ahead of us, but only if we listen carefully, plan thoughtfully, and move forward together.
For more than 30 years, as a professor, communication consultant, small business owner, and community leader, I have brought people together, solved difficult problems, and helped turn good ideas into meaningful action. That's what I do best, and it's why I'm running for Santa Paula City Council.
Thirteen years ago, my wife and I came to Santa Paula to celebrate our anniversary. We fell in love with this community and promised that one day we would make it our home. A few months later, we were welcoming trick-or-treaters from our front porch on Santa Paula Street.
Since then, we've welcomed four grandchildren, opened two small businesses in our historic downtown, and dedicated ourselves to giving back to the community that has given us so much.
I believe Santa Paula can move forward without losing what makes it special. We can budget responsibly, strengthen our economy, improve infrastructure, support local businesses, expand opportunities for young people and resources for our older adults, and protect our city’s character, history, and affordability.
It would be an honor to earn your trust, your vote, and the opportunity to serve Santa Paula with integrity, experience, and heart.

For nearly 30 years, I have worked in higher education helping students find their voice, solve problems, and build better futures. Let’s build better futures here in Santa Paula.
